1st day of Pre-school for Chloe

Chloe started her 1st day of Pre-school on Tuesday. She's only going twice a week this semester. Since she was so burnt out from last semester, I wanted to start her out slowly. The school had Open House on Friday (8/6). Her teacher wasn't there so we didn't get a chance to meet her. She did get to see some of the kids that were gonna be there that's in her age group. She got the feel of what her classroom is gonna be like - she was excited that there were dressed up costumes in the corner, some Dora puzzles & games and a train table! She thought it was pretty cool! She was apprehensive to check it out at first, of course, but eventually warmed up to the idea that she'll be going to school no matter what. Tuesday was the day that she started and of course, I could tell she was nervous. So I held her hand & walked her to her classroom. As we entered the school, Ms. Karen (the owner of the school) was right there to greet us. Then off we went into her classroom. Her teacher, Ms. Nachelle was there ready with some supplies for her to do some art work. Both Callie & I gave her a kiss good bye. She sat on her table that had her name on it and started doing her project. I was able to peep on the window & checked her out for a few minutes. She was checking the other kids out while she was doing her art project. When it was time to pick her up, she was sitting nicely in the circle waiting for me. She was so excited to tell me about her school. I asked her if she had a great day, she responded with, "Yeah, I had a great day at school, Mommy!" I was so excited to hear that...she wanted to call her Daddy & tell her about her school day. Hopefully, it continues that way!

(P.S. Pardon the picture! The sun was blaring at her so she was squinting...and of course she was already nervous so I didn't want to push it. I just wanted to make sure I had a picture of her 1st day of school! lol)
