Fourth of July...Sun Valley Style

Well, we're here in Sun Valley so my Mom decided to take us to watched the parade which started at noon. It was a nice and hot day for the parade to start. The girls were not in the mood for the parade nor dressed in patriotic style...I know, I've lost my sense of patrionism! I totally forgot to packed their clothes in our luggage and didn't get a chance to go shopping for some so I just dressed them as cute as they could be with the clean clothes I had left from our luggage! And mind you, I barely packed much and haven't done laundry either! (lol) The parade started and they were passing out candies, Chloe wanted to participate but wanted me to join her but I was too busy taking photos so she just pouted. Callie was too busy eating all the candies that were handed to her so her hands and mouth were sticky. Towards the end, they have had it and was about to be done. So I decided to join the little kids and tried to catch some candies. I knew what Chloe really wanted which was a lollipop. So I caught one for her, finally, which brought a big old smile to her face. Callie just wanted another candy. Eventually another ride came by and they had popsicle sticks that they were handing out and I was able to grab 2 and I grabbed another 1 for my mom's friend's grandson, Jonas. So the kids were enjoying the popsicle sticks in the hot sun to cool them off. I guess, it was a nice way to end the parade. After the parade, we had to hurry home and feed the girls lunch so that we could go and pick Daddy up at the airport. It was going to be about a 3 hour drive to the airport which was at Idaho Falls. So we rushed the girls home and got them fed and took a little road trip while they took a little snoozer. By the time they woke up from their nap, it was time to see their Dad. They were never so happy to see him. They were attached to him and never left his side. We ate at Outback for dinner and drove back to Sun Valley. On the way back we found the short cut so that cut back our drive much quicker, thank God! The girls, especially Callie had about enough being in the car...she's our impatient girl. We waited for the fireworks to go but since it doesn't get dark until almost 11:30 at night, I was too tired to take photos. I took photos of the girls with their Dad and they were still in the great mood so I was able to capture many great shots of them. After that, I was done so I didn't really get any firework shots...besides we saw them from the kids library room since we didn't feel like fighting the crowds and be anywhere close to where the actual fireworks were being held at. The kids still enjoyed watching it. I was just ready to go to bed and be done with it. I must say, I was missing Maricopa for that reason...in our old house, we didn't have to go anywhere. We just stepped outside in our backyard and watched the fireworks go off as if it was meant for us. This time around, it was definitely different!
