Chloe "Princess for the day"/Callie "Model for the day"

One of Chloe’s dearrest friend, Avery, turned 3 this month. She had a Princess Party at her house and a Party at USA Gymnastic. So for the Princess party, all the kiddos got to dress up as Princesses. It was really darling because it was all girls running around in different costumes and playing amongst each other. It took a few minutes for Chloe to jump on board w/ the idea, as she always does. When she finally got dressed up, she was enjoying herself. We are just starting to get into Dress Up so she’s a few months behind her girlfriends. She loves the books about Princesses and kids playing as Princesses. Everytime she sees the Disney Princesses, she calls them “Princess”. She loves to play w/ my necklace and earrings but I only allow her to play w/ my necklaces for the most part. She especially love to do it while I get ready in our bathroom - she’s always asking me, “Mommie, what you doing?” or “What’s that, Mommie?” It’s really cute becase I’ve always love watching my Mom do her make up when I was little...I actually still do now. My sister, Sherry, and I would reminisce about our childhood and how we found it so serene to watch our Mom put her make-up on for the day. And now, I see Chloe doing the same thing. She loves to be able to do it too but she knows that she’s not allowed to touch any of Mommie’s stuff. So I only allow her to play with my necklaces...it keeps her occupied while I get ready.

We have slowly introduced her to Potty Training...we haven’t really been consistent with her since she goes to school M/W/F. We've decorated the downstairs bathroom in Princesses to get her excited about it. She’s had more accident than actually peeing in the toilet. Everytime we are on the toilet, she can’t relax herself to go pee. No matter how long we sit there and by that time, she gets upset becuause she’s done sitting on the toilet. I don’t want to keep pushing it if she’s not ready after all. Even though she’s talked about going to the bathroom on the toilet, she might not understand the actual concept of it. So we’re slowly getting into without frustrating ourelves. She gets upset at herself when she has her accidents. We have to remind her that it’s okay & that it happens but we should always try to go to the bathroom if we have too. Her teacher is encouraging me to bring her to school in her underwear & they will help me with the Potty Training also. So far she hasn’t had any accidents in school...she manages to hold her pee until we get home! So this will be TO BE CONTINUED....

Chloe is just loving school. She loves her teachers, Miss Jenny & Miss Joanne. It’s so cute when she says their names. I love that she loves going to school! In August, they were learning their shapes (square), colors (yellow), numbers (1-10) and ABC”s (Letter A). She's pretty much ahead of her class but is enjoying herself learning new things. She has been learning her alphabet at school & is very excited about it since we started doing it with her. She gets so proud of her artwork - she’ll come to us and say, “Ohhh, I made this!” For the month of September, they will be working on Feelings & Emotions, Music & Art Appreciation, The Farm, Apples & Johnny Appleseed’s birthday” and the upcoming season, Autumn. Below is a video that we captured of her singing her ABC's and saying her numbers. She was being her silly self...she managed to put stickers all over her...she LOVES stickers! I apologize for the bad lighting. This was at night and we were getting her ready for bed so you barely can see her but you can hear her sing & talk & acting silly.

Callie is continuing to grow in both weight & height. She’s been having problem digesting her milk intake. For a while she would project vomitt. I finally took her to the doctor after continuing to project vomit for 3 days! And it didn’t seem to get better, instead her vomit would increase from once a day to 3x’s a day. The doctor was hoping that she only caught a virus rather than having to be diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis, which is a stomach muscle issue that will need to be corrected via surgery. We’ve done a few changes. We’ve changed her formula since she is Formula based now. I’m not producing milk on my end anymore and she was being supplemented to begin with. Her appetite has gone down and we are giving her milk in smaller ounces and feeding her 2 hours or longer since she’s not drinking as much right now. She hasn’t lost any weight so we are continuing to keep an eye on her. It seems like she’s on the mend. She’s not puking as much so she might have just gotten the virus.

A girlfriend of mine, Paula Stiller, took this photo of Callie. She’s previously have done a few shots of me and the family. She wanted to use Callie as her model for the basket that she’s thinking of selling to other Photographers. She handmade the basket herself - we were supposed to have the pictures taken when Callie was much younger since the basket was for Newborn shots but we had a couple of schedule conflicts so now, Callie looks a bit long in the basket. Paula still did an awesome job on the photo. I am hoping to get a few more copies from her but I was only able to snatch one copy from her web-site!
