Changes

Our poor blog has been neglected! It's been a crazy few months...seriously! I know I seem to say that every few months. But I think the last 2 months has been the craziest for us, Derouin's, in a very long time! When we got back from Iowa, we got a notice that we were going into foreclosure! We've been waiting to hear back from the bank in regards to having our morgage modified. It's been a long process of having to do what they request from us to getting the run around type of replies. It hit Steve the hardest. He loves this house...but to me, a house is just a house. It's the family that makes the house a home. We'll be closing this part of chapter in our lives and on to a new chapter! I'm very excited to what's ahead of us. It's been a long 2 months of researching and running around like a mad woman. Everyone says that it's a buyers market but looking at houses for 2 months, I felt like there wasn't much out there. Most of the good ones, get taken right away. For the most part, they are all fixer upper homes. By the grace of God, we finally found a home that both Steve & I like. It's an older home. It needs a lot of maintenance but it's move in ready, which is rare. It's close to my friends and everything else! We closed Escrow today...so we are officially a home owner in Gilbert, AZ!!!!
