Spring is here...

  Mommie's Note:

Here's my pregnancy comparison between Chloe & Baby#2. Granted, I was super excited showing off my belly w/ my pregnancy w/ Chloe.   I stuck that belly out as much as I possibly could with every pictures we took... but with my 2nd time around, it's a whole lot different!  Believe it or not, this is the same shirt that I am wearing on both pregnancy... I just tucked it underneath (pregnancy w/ Chloe) & the color has faded but it's the same shirt that I got from ON. We still haven't decided on a name yet...  Callie Elizabeth Derouin is the name we are thinking of naming her...that or Caleigh Elizabeth Derouin. (I love Callie & Steve likes Caleigh...it's a tosss up...care to see who wins this battle? Just kidding, lovie!!! Your opinion is as important as mine!!!

March 20:
Steve is in Vegas right now - he left on Thursday for work and of course stayed the weekend for play since it is March Madness! Chloe & I are at home spending a few days to our selves. March hasn’t been really an active month for us - I had false term labor because apparently I was doing too much but other than that, we are all healthy. The baby is very active in my tummy. She's more active than Chloe ever was - Steve thinks that this baby will definitely be an athlete because she's a mover & kicks me ALL the time!!! She's definitely a night owl too - she loves to make her presence when I am trying to go to sleep...I guess she'll definitely make us run for our money! Overall, I’m just trying to get ready for my Mom's visit & also for Chloe’s 2nd birthday which is both coming around the corner fairly soon. My mom will be here on the 26th thru the 3rd of April. We will meet up w/ her & her friend, Pam, in Sedona & spend the weekend up there w/ them. Then they will come & stay w/ us for a couple of days afterwards.

Chloe is starting to sing now - it's so cute to listen to her try to sing along to some of the songs on her TV shows or when she plays in one of her little instruments & sing at the same time. Her favorite song right now is the "Itsy Bitsy Spider". She'll try to do the motion w/ us. She likes Twinkle-Twinkle Little Stars too but she always cuts us off & start talking about something. She's very much into Yo Gabba Gabba (one of the TV shows in the Noggin Channel) and if she has it her way, she would watch it all the time - that & Wiggles! Her favorite channel is definitely the Disney Channel. She likes Elmo but can't seem to get interested in Sesame Street.  She is continuing to learn her shapes, colors & numbers. She knows her circle, square, triangle, rectangle, heart, moon (crescent shape), diamond & stars! She can say them for the most part but she gets the square & rectangle mixed w/ some other words but if you asked her which one is which, she points at them correctly. She can count  from 1 thru 9 (she gets them mixed from time to time also but for the most part, she gets them right w/ the exception of 7 for some odd reason). When 10 comes along, she ends up saying 1 because she does see the 1 but doesn't connect the 1&0 makes 10! She gets upset w/ you if you tell it's a different number & will keep saying, "No, Mommie! 1!"  She knows the color of red, green, yellow, orange & sometimes blue ...she loves her M&M's w/ the exception of the color brown. She doesn't like to eat them nor cares for the color!!! She'll happily "share" that color of M&M's w/ you! She is saying sentences like there's no tomorrow - it's amazing that she can actually say her own name now...I didn't realized at first that she was associating her name to herself. She would say, "where's Coey, Mommie?" And I had to tell her "that's your name, Sweetie." And she'll go, "no, Mommie. Where's Coey?" Then finishes with, "Ta-da!" Then I realized she was playing hide-n- seek and peek- a- boo!!! She loves to be a helper...well,  for the most part...only on her own terms though! As Steve likes to say, she is such a WOMAN!!!

March 21:
Mateo (Conni, one of our good friend's son that lives across from us) had his baptism today. We went to church & had a nice little fiesta at their house afterwards. I never ate so much in one setting...I seriously could have eaten some more but my big o belly could only handle so much food at one time! We stayed there for quite a long time (throughout the evening) so I got to pig out while Chloe played w/ her friends. I love home cook meals...just wished I was talented enough...or motivated enough to make good home cook meals!

This week will consist of me trying to get the house in order & letting Chloe spend some time with her friends. My friend Conni is hosting her annual Easter Party for our Mommy Group so I am going to try to attend to that on Friday since we truly enjoyed it last year. Now that Chloe is older, I think she's going to enjoy it more this year. She already has this ducky basket that she carries around thinking that it's a purse. She puts her Ele (her pink elephant) in it & carries it around the house! After the party, we are going to pick Steve up from work & take off for Sedona to meet up w/ my Mom.
