Chloe writing her name

Chloe has been practicing writing her name. I know they do it at school too. So when she's at home, she practices in her notebook that we've given her. Steve likes buying her notebooks and typically she just doodles on it but lately, she's been wanting to write her name, our names and so fort. This morning I noticed that she wrote her own name w/o our help. Typically we would "dot" the letters and she would trace them. Today, she did the letters by herself. I was very excited for her. She also managed to write "MOM" and "DAD". It's exciting to know that she's actually learning from her class even though she's not too thrilled about her teacher. We are now on our 3rd teacher for the year. She really loved her 2nd teacher, Mrs Stacey, but she was only a sub until the school found a replacement. Mrs Cathy is the new teacher and she's nice...I liked her better than Ms Nashelle, which was her 1st teacher. Of course I loved Mrs. Stacey too but she already teaches another class...the older class that is. It's funny to hear Chloe play pretend and act like she's Mrs Stacey - it's obvious that Mrs Stacey made an impression on Chloe. She does bring Ms Cathy's name as the other teacher so it's nice to hear her mention her teachers in her pretend play in a positive way. She's never mentioned Ms. Nashelle in her pretend play before - I've heard her pretend not being a nice teacher & I would ask her why she's not being nice & she'll respond that she's being Ms. Nashelle. So that says something about the last 2 teachers!

Here's a video of Chloe:
